About Me

Sean Frydman, M.S., is a Psy.D. candidate in Long Island University – Post’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Long Island University – Post and a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies from New York University.

He is trained in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including both cognitive behavioral (CBT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as in administering biofeedback, virtual reality exposure therapy, and comprehensive psychological assessment batteries.

Sean has experience providing therapeutic services to children and adults across the lifespan. His approach to therapy is integrative and evidence-based, with a large focus on acceptance and commitment work, rational emotive behavior therapy techniques, and exposure and response prevention.

Sean specializes in anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), assertive communication skills training, and executive functioning skills training utilizing this integrative framework.

He is dedicated to fostering a space where patients feel genuinely seen and supported, working collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that reflects their values, needs, and goals.

  • Individual Therapy Session

    Meet with Sean for an individual 45-55 minute therapy session.

    In-person or virtual via Doxy.

  • Biofeedback & Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy

    Meet with Sean for 45-55 minutes to work on biofeedback heart rate variability (HRV) training and/or virtual reality exposure therapy.

  • Group Therapy

    Join Sean’s Adult Male Processing group.

    Meets once a week on Tuesdays at 6:45-7:45pm.

  • Psychological Assessment

    Meet with Sean to receive a full psychological assessment battery.
